We’re finalists in four categories at the Tech South West Awards 2026!

We’ve got some properly exciting news to share. We have been named a finalist in four categories at the Tech South West Awards 2026. We’re shortlisted for Tech Company of the Year, Tech for Good, Best Place to Work and Tech Leadership, with our Founder and CEO Matt Ville in the running for that last one.

This year the awards had their biggest response yet, with more than 350 entries across 21 categories. So making the shortlist once would have been amazing – but four times? We’re so pleased!

Which Tech South West Awards is Hiyield shortlisted for?

Tech Company of the Year – This is the big one, and we’re thrilled to be in the mix. It’s been a cracking year for us, from being named Best Development Agency at the National Digital Awards to picking up four wins at the Cornwall Rewind Radio Business Awards, including Cornish Business of the Year. Being recognised across the whole region feels like a lovely next chapter.

Tech for Good – this one sits right at the heart of who we are. Our clients are purpose-driven organisations trying to make the world a better place, and that’s what we jump out of bed for. From suicide prevention tools with Chasing the Stigma to helping Open Up Music and Julie’s Bicycle do more of the brilliant work they do, tech for good isn’t a side project for us. It’s the whole point.

Best Place to Work – as an 80% employee-owned, certified B Corp, how we look after each other is baked into everything. Our team votes on the big stuff (like our recent pension rise), our apprentices have grown into senior roles, and we were also named one of Business Cornwall’s Best Places to Work 2026. Seeing that recognised by Tech South West too means a huge amount.

Tech Leadership – our awesome Founder and CEO Matt Ville is in the running, and we couldn’t be prouder. Matt leads with heart, curiosity and a stubborn belief that a tech business can be a force for good. We might be a bit biased, but we think it’s thoroughly deserved.

What are the Tech South West Awards?

The Tech South West Awards celebrate the best tech businesses, teams and leaders across the South West, from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly right up to Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Now in their eighth year, they’re run by Tech South West, who do a brilliant job of shouting about one of the most exciting tech scenes in the UK.

For us, that’s what makes these awards so special. They’re a reminder that world-class tech doesn’t just happen in one postcode. It happens in Truro, in Bristol, in Plymouth, in Bath and everywhere in between.

Who else is on the shortlist?

We’re in seriously good company, and we have to give a shout-out to the people we’re sharing the shortlist with.

DRIFT Energy has made the shortlist in five categories, including Tech for Good alongside us, which is a massive achievement. Signable is up for four, the same as us, so we’ll be cheering for them all night (and maybe giving them a friendly nod across the room when our categories come up). Chorus and A2Z Cloud are both in three, and Dynamic Therapeutics (DTx), Micrima and Revolver Therapeutics are all flying the flag for health tech across several categories.

And then there’s The Rock Pool Project, Oxi-Tech Solutions, Digital Wonderlab, Giraffe, Ghyston and Kascade (Computer World), all brilliant businesses we’re proud to be listed next to. From ClimateTech and HealthTech to MarineTech and Women in Tech, the full shortlist is packed with people doing amazing things, and it’s well worth a read.

When are the Tech South West Awards 2026?

The winners will be announced on Thursday 26 November 2026 at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol, we can’t wait to be in the room celebrating with everyone.

Fingers crossed for the 26th! 🤞
