Very exciting news! Hiyield has been named one of the best places to work in Cornwall, landing at number 7 in Business Cornwall’s annual Best Places to Work survey 2026!

Now in its fourth year, the programme is run in partnership with Workforce Research Group, who survey both employers and employees to build a genuine, unfiltered picture of what it’s really like to work somewhere. No spin, no carefully curated PR responses – just real people sharing real experiences. That’s exactly why this recognition matters so much to us. You really can’t fake it.

Across all 11 winning businesses, the results showed remarkably high levels of employee satisfaction, with a 94% average score on core employee experience. For us, those aren’t just numbers. They’re a reflection of something we’ve built together, slowly and intentionally, over more than a decade.

While we’re very excited about this, we just want to emphasise that Hiyield wouldn’t be Hiyield without its people.

It’s all about the team

We’re an employee-owned studio, which means the team aren’t just staff – they’re partners. Every person here has a genuine stake in what we build, how we show up, and where we’re headed. That sense of shared ownership shapes everything, from how we make decisions to how we celebrate each other’s wins.

Our CEO, Matt Ville, puts it simply: “This structure fuels a culture of high autonomy and deep connection. We trust our experts to deliver world-class work without micromanagement – and that trust goes both ways.”

We try hard to stay genuinely connected, whether that’s epic in-person team days twice a year, online events and competitive quizzes, or virtual team days that go beyond your usual video calls. And when someone does something worth celebrating, we make sure they know it – through our Kudos coins, company shoutouts, and by actually saying thank you like we mean it. Oh, and our awesome Hiyielder of the week! (voted for anonymously)

We do loyalty a little differently, too. Forget dusty long-service certificates – every team member gets a custom Lego minifigure of themselves, mounted on a Hiyield plinth. For every year of service, a new brick gets added to their display.

It’s a small, quirky tradition, but it says a lot about who we are. Laura puts real care and thought into each one, making sure every minifigure genuinely looks and feels like the person it represents.

Proof that purpose and profit can coexist

As a certified B Corp, we’ve always believed that doing good and doing well aren’t at odds with each other. This award is a brilliant reminder of that. A team that feels trusted, valued, and genuinely part of something builds better products, serves clients better, and creates more impact in the world.

Matt sums it up: “As a B Corp, we prove that you can balance profit with purpose. Hiyield is a place where ambitious people do their best work, safe in the knowledge that they literally own the results.”

To every single person on the Hiyield team – thank you. This award belongs to you.
